Originally designed as a private residence, Lodge on the Desert opened for business in 1936 with seven rooms, all made of adobe brick. Long since renowned for its gracious hospitality and intimate residential setting, the Lodge remains a Tucson tradition.
At Lodge on the Desert, secluded pathways wind among regal palms, native cacti, and manicured lawns wrapped in ribbons of seasonal flowers. The Lodge's 35 authentic hacienda-style guest rooms and suites, many of which feature tile-covered patios and fireplaces, afford guests a private enclave in which to escape, relax, and enjoy life's simplest pleasures.
